Adoption Requirements

We place fewer than 20 kittens per year and match each one carefully. To be considered, families must agree to the following:

• Indoor-only home, with no plans to allow outdoor access.
• Commitment to spay/neuter between 5–8 months for pet-quality placements.
• No declawing under any circumstances.
• Willingness to keep the kitten on a veterinarian-approved diet.
• Pre-purchase video consultation with Sarah.
• Agreement to return the cat to Azurine if you can no longer keep it.
• References from a veterinarian if you currently have other pets.
• A signed purchase contract and non-refundable $500 deposit.

We do not place kittens in homes with declawed resident cats, in households where the cat would be left alone for 10+ hours daily, or with families seeking a Russian Blue as a surprise gift.
